Librarian Jan Carpenter likes things just so. Nestled in her tidy little cottage on the outskirts of the small hamlet of Alpine Grove, she enjoys her quiet life with her friendly, rotund black lab, Rosa.
Jan's orderly life is turned upside down when she attends her mother's latest wedding in San Diego. (Number six...or maybe seven, but who's counting?) There, Jan encounters Michael Lawson, the obnoxious neighbor kid from twenty years ago. He's still irritating, but not as annoying as his dog who has a habit of eating...everything. The last thing Jan wants to do is risk heartache on a vacation fling with a smooth-talking serial dater, even if he is sinfully gorgeous and finds her unusual ability to remember obscure facts fascinating.
Amidst wardrobe destruction, canine digestive indiscretions, and episodes of extreme mortification, Jan's desire to avoid drama may put the brakes on her fiery attraction to Michael. But maybe being cautious and responsible isn't all it's cracked up to be.

Jan is a Librarian who goes to her quirky mother's wedding only to run into Michael and his dog Swoosie (literally). They knew each other when they were kids. Swoosie is a high energy dog who likes to eat everything. As they help the newly wedded parents with their issues, Jan and Michael get better acquainted. During this time Jan's black lab (a real sweet dog) is staying with Kat (from book 1) at her soon to be boarding and grooming house. Characters from the first book is woven into the story nicely. The story covers Jan and Michael's relationship as they learn about each other as well as the people living in Alpine Grove. Overall it was enjoyable, romance, funny.Product details

Susan, you are going to have to let me know when the next one is ready please. I enjoyed the development of the new characters in Fuzzy Logic. Once again, some light reading which is great to relax my mind and pull me away from the hustle and bustle of life. I always find I do not want to put the book down, not because it is compelling in the style of some writersbut because I get involved in the life of the characters and like them. It is easy, feel good reading - just what I need. Thamk you Susan, looking forward to the next development in the lives the people in Alpine Grove.
Very light and enjoyable.
Jan is a librarian who knows all kinds of facts useful for research. She's engaged to a guy who disrespects her and everyone in town knows it. Then her Mom remarries and her step-brother is the old neighborhood kid next door.
I think I spent just as much time laughing or sympathizing with the characters as reading.I love that from the beginning the animals' personalities are just as strong and important as the humans.I also love how total opposites become a perfect match I loved every moment.
I just love this little series...they are a fun lite read...to take your mind off things and a quick read too...you get to follow the characters through the books. Highly recommend for a nice quick fun read.
Not a hard book to read but enjoyable. I like to laugh and this series gives me a lot of things to smile about. They are short books, but the author was able to make all the animals endearing. We are animal lovers so love to read about dogs and cats. My cat would make a wonderful subject for a book if I were a writer. Talk about a personality! He's got it!
This is a laugh out loud winner! And one not to be missed! It flows, scene upon scene, as tho living the story. Second in a series, but stands alone if you haven't read the first one; you will want to do that after reading this one.
